If a website is setup in internet it can take orders from the whole world through online and it will be active 24 hours in a day/7 days in a week/365 days in a year.
In easy word main function of internet marketing is to sell some products. But internet marketing is not only limited in products and sales it also:

To setup a website is an arm for marketing. Website is created in internet for information, communication and advertisement of the products. Various e-commerce site takes orders from consumers themselves and serves them automatically with various digital products like e-book or online course. Example: You can buy a .com domain in a domain website; your domain will be active quickly after you have paid the money- no one is needed for directing this program there. Dealing is active for 24 hours.

Social media marketing

 

People spend there most of the times in different social media website, like- facebook, twitter, linkedin. In these types of sites, there is a huge community or groups of people interested in almost all types things. Basically social media marketing is performed to get new customers and increase the breadth of marketing.

Search engine marketing

 

Nowadays people are using various types of search engines, like-Google, Yahoo, Bing to get useful information. May be you have also arrived at my blog by searching in google.
